Warranties on Your New Furniture
Congratulations on your purchase of quality home furnishings from L. A. Waters Furniture. We are very proud of the quality furniture we provide our customers and will serve as your liaison to warranty service from the manufacturer of your furniture. Generally, the manufacturer’s warranty will cover the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship during normal household use, for a period of one year. Also, manufacturers reserve the right to make the decision of whether to repair or replace the product depending on the service issue being solved.
Other general furniture warranty guidelines include one year warranty on fabric and leather (including seams) against defects in materials and workmanship. Exclusions include fading, pilling, staining due to body oils or other spills, tears, or abusive wear.
Recliners carry a Limited Lifetime Guarantee which covers any manufacturer defect in material or workmanship for one year. After one year, the frame and metal parts will be covered and provided at no charge, but customer will be responsible for shipping costs and labor to make the repair.
Wood Case goods furniture; (bedroom, dining room, entertainment cabinets, tables etc) will be guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for one year-- including warping and splitting.
Dinettes are warranted for one year from the date of purchase against breaking or bending of metal parts from normal household use.
Mattresses are warranted only when purchased in sets of mattress and box. The length and term of the warranty will depend on the specific model purchased. In addition, all mattresses must be free of stains and tears. Warranties on mattress sets will begin on the original date of purchase.
It is our goal to provide you with quality furniture that you and your family will enjoy for years, so your satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not happy with your purchase, or if it is just not what you wanted, you may exchange or return your purchase for credit or refund within 7 days. Custom orders will be charged a restocking fee. Items bought under “AS IS” conditions are not subject to refunds and warranties may not be available.
Warranty Service Department
Because you are very important to us, we provide dedicated service personnel to facilitate the manufacturer warranty service and to accommodate the rare delivery damage that may occur. You may report service issues by contact our service department at 912-531-8785 or by contacting the store where your purchase was made.
Upon receiving your request our service personnel will contact you to set up an appointment for an initial inspection and/or repair. At this time, the repair will be completed if possible, or a determination will be made as to what parts will need to be ordered to complete the repair. Parts for repairs will be ordered immediately by L. A. Waters. It is our goal to make a quick and timely repair to your furniture. There are times when the needed parts are not in stock and must be made or may have to be shipped from overseas, and thus the repair process can be slowed down substantially. (We ask for your patience and understanding.)
When parts are received, our service personnel will again contact you to set up an appointment for completion of the repair. Repairs are typically done in the home; however, occasionally there are times when the furniture must be taken to a repair facility. We will do everything possible to minimize the length of time that the furniture will be out of your home.
